About Us

Veggie Mama
That's me. I've been a veggie since I was about 12, with a brief foray into poultry when I was in my late 20s - ick! I love avocados, veggie sushi, home-made pizzas, houmous, nut butters, fruity smoothies and curries with loads of spinach. But to counteract all that healthiness, I also eat way too much cake.

Veggie Dad
If Veggie Dad was left to his own devices, he would survive on cheese, croissants, fakey bacon sandwiches on white bread and more cheese. Fortunately, I'm in charge of menu planning and food shopping, and he eats almost anything that's put in front of him, although raises an eyebrow if meals veer towards being a bit 'Birkenstocks and brown rice'.

Big Veggie Girl (6)
The firstborn loves hearty foods, like beany stews and shepherds pies, roasted roots and mashed potatoes. She is also the world's number one crumble fan. With custard, of course.

Little Veggie Girl (4)
Daughter number two is still in the toddler mode of eating, and really enjoys a meal of lots of things separate on the plate. She likes raw things, like carrots and avocados and cucumber, but is highly suspicious of dishes with lots of vegetables cooked together in a sauce.

Veggie Baby
The littlest is still getting his head around this eating malarkey. He loves soups, risotto and pasta. And potatoes in any form. For some reason, he absolutely refuses to eat fruit, and he is probably the only baby in the world that doesn't like bananas.
