Our Ten 2014 Food Resolutions

1. Shop locally and independently - a biggie, as I am on a mission to avoid supermarkets altogether.

2. Try and make home-made versions of the few 'bad' foods that we buy, like tear and share brioche and various dirty garlic breads.

3. Eat smaller portions.

4. Dedicate one evening a week to bulk cooking, to save time and stress on workday evenings.

5. Cook home-made healthy(ish) treats for the children's lunch boxes.

6. Improve my packed lunch repertoire, which currently consists of a slight variation of a cheese sandwich, a yoghurt and a piece of fruit.

7. Plan tasty weekend food for me and the mister so we're not tempted by the delights of Jade Garden.

8. Try one completely brand-new recipe every month.

9. Dabble in growing our own.

10. Have two vegan days every week.

Hello

Hello. I've been meaning to start this blog for ages, and finally here we are. I spend so much time planning, shopping for and cooking food, that I thought I'd share the love with the blogosphere, and maybe pick up fresh ideas and make some friends along the way.

I've been thinking about this blog a lot, and the sorts of things I'd like to write about. So you can probably expect to read about:

Weekly Meal Plans
Cooking With Kids
Family Favourites
Make it Yourself  (home-cooked versions of things we buy)

It's also a chance for me to get creative with food photography, which I like a lot.

In 2014, I'm on a mission to stop relying on the supermarkets so much, so I'll probably be writing a lot about that too.

Welcome to Trois Petit Pois.
